joshua nicholas smith
born november 5th 1991, making him sixteen years of age. likes to go by 'josh', will only let his boyfriend or parents call him joshua. he is an only child so he tends to get a little spoilt, but being from a not-so-well-off family, he is used to being spoilt once in a while. he isn't a big headed kind of guy, he's very down to earth, but also likes to take care of himself and his appearence.
he was born and raised in bristol, england but moved to santa cruz when he was fifteen years of age, having to adjust to a whole new life and timezone. his parents got some money due to a death in the family. having no other family left there, they decided to start a new life. joshua wasn't from the richest of families but they were a caring, loving family and he believed that's all what matters.
joshua quickly grew popular at his new school because he was british, but he soon attracted the attention of a younger boy, ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) harkins, who has now been his boyfriend for over six months. he loves his friends to death, he spends more time with them than at home with his family. if he's not found at home, he's mostly found over at harley's house, where he spends most of his days, nights, and weekends. he and harley are almost inseperable.
he loves the party scene, doing any kinds of drugs except needles, one of the many things himself and harley had in common. he drank alcohol, did drugs and he had infact slept around a little, but none he could actually remember because he was far too drunk. he is pretty sexual but now only with harley.
having being openly homosexual since he was around fourteen years of age, joshua did get bullied at school for his sexuality, but once he had made new friends at his new school, they all became quickly used to his sexuality and interests in the same sex. he didn't want to come out to his parents straight away but they soon figured it out once catching him in bed with another male.
joshua's ambition is to be a dancer. he had attended dance classes since a young age and then joined a dance academy, but soon had to leave due to moving abroad to santa cruz the first thing he did once he had some free time, he went out to find the best local dance school. but not only can he dance, he can sing too. taking part of as many school productions as he possibly could, whether he would be dancing or singing or both, his name would be the first on the auditions list.
with his father being a builder, and mother being a cleaner, they didn't have much qualifications between them but his father did have one dream in mind. for joshua to continue in his footsteps, but obviously that didn't go down too well with josh. josh and his father haven't had the most best of relationships, and still haven't to this day so you can often see joshua out on the street one night over an argument with his father and being kicked out.
being an only child, joshua seemed to get away with many things, but one thing he didn't get away with was when his grades slipped. he would be made to stay at home and study, no matter how much he begged - but he always did the quick route out and climbed out of his bedroom window when he was asleep. he became the more, 'rebel' type when he moved. he believed that he could do anything if he put his mind to it, and that included drugs, sex, parties, you name it he would of thought about it.
joshua has only had one real girlfriend, and that didn't even last a week. this happened when he was twelve, he didn't know whether he was gay or straight, so he dated this girl who seemed to be obsessed with him, then made out with another guy and was more interested in that than his girlfriend. but since, he has had numerous boyfriends, but none he could call 'lovers', up until he met harley, that's when everything changed for him.
through all the drugs, alcohol and sex, joshua is a down to earth kind of guy, he likes to be wild on occasions but he is always friendly and caring. many people want to be his friend, he is the perfect material for a girls best friend - just because he would do the whole sleepovers and stay up all night talking about boys, but he does like to have his time going out with his male friends.
